GOING GAGA FOR AMY: Tribute act Nicola Marie Bloor puckers up to Tavola boss Mick Emanuele as Lady Gaga

SHE was left on The Edge of Glory after her 2012 X Factor exit but to La Tavola Calda tribute fans in Nuneaton – TV wannabe hopeful Nicola-Marie Bloor is a real star.

The emporium audience at Tavola goes wild for the 37-year-old regular’s act as Lady Gaga.

But Nicola-Marie, who hails from Alfreton, is also just at home doing Amy Winehouse’s wonderful soulful voice.

And you can catch Nicola on video doing her two Amy shows.
The original show is an authentic reproduction of Amy at her stunning best. Stripped back, the voice is the star of this show as Nicola performs Amy’s hits together with several other songs reproduced in that unique style.

The second show builds upon the first by way of Nicola adding her own humour and wacky personality without being derogatory to the memory of Amy.

There is a large amount of interaction with her audience and indeed audience participation to put everyone in that party mood.

As Amy Winehouse, Newark-born Nicola headlined Europe’s largest free music event the ‘Mathew Street Festival’ in Liverpool two consecutive years.

As well as Tavola – the UK’s No 1 tribute venue – she has also performed at Sensatori 5star plus resorts in Crete & Tenerife for Thomson Holidays through Ted UK, private parties for a number of TV stars and celebs plus magazine shoots.

She’s also featured on The Weakest Link Christmas special with the delightful Anne Robinson.

Nicola sings in an Eighties music band Girls Just Want To Have Fun and hoped to made it big as a ‘straight’ singer and dancer in the Simon Cowell-led X Factor show on ITV.

The wannabe star took a verbal battering from none other than Gary Barlow after dividing the judges’ opinion with her action-packed first audition at the beginning of September.

She belted her way through a dubstep version of Taylor Dayne’s 1988 hit song Tell It To My Heart and was promptly left on The Edge of Glory by Take That star Barlow who moaned: “I don’t know if I liked that or not.

She didn’t get past the boot camp stage.

Nicola added: “The Tavola restaurant audiences seem to have taken me to their hearts. I always like to give an extra special performance there as they are so appreciative of my tribute to Lady Gaga.”
